BAKING BROWNIES! - Salted caramel addition

It's another sweet one today, What a better way to spend a bank holiday Monday by baking! Today's bake of choice is salted caramel brownies!! The biggest new food fad has arrived on my blog. These days most things can be created with the salty caramel as it is just delicious and such a yummy treat.

100g plain flour
200g golden caster sugar
200g unsalted butter
200g chocolate
4 eggs
1 tin of caramel
rock salt
50g cocoa powder

* Pre-Heat the oven to 160C fan, Gas 4

1.) Start off by adding the butter and chocolate into a pan and slowly heat until the butter melts, Take it off the heat and stir until the chocolate has fully melted.
When it is melted in a big bowl add the sugar, eggs and 200g of caramel and whisk until combined.

2.) Add the chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix until the mixture thickens, Then gradually add the flour and cocoa powder until the mix is thick and mixed together.

3.) mix the rest of the caramel in another bowl an add salt, I am not sure how much I added, I tested it to see if the ratio was correct and when the saltiness came through I left it at that.

4.) Tip half of the brownie mix into a tin, and then pour the salted caramel over to give an even coverage. Then pour over the rest of the brownie mix carefully, making sure not to move the caramel layer

5.) Now the mix is into the tin place into the oven for 30-35 minutes until cooked, The brownie should have risen and have a slight crust, The middle should wobbly but not a wet mixture.

6.) Leave to cool and then plate up onto a nice plate, Then take photos!
