BLOGMAS DAY 13 - Christmas party makeup

Hey! Today I am doing another collaboration with Amy from Lipsticks and Biscuits you should go and check it out after reading mine and see her take on a christmas party makeup look. Her blog combines beauty reviews, baking recipes and everyday life so it is worth checking out and follow if you don't already! This has been a really fun post to create because I feel like a 'party' look can vary massively, some of you make want a full on glam look where as I tried to keep it minimal. But watch this space as I will be posting a full on glam look very soon.

For this look I stuck to using my naked three palette as I wanted it to be a look you could do with one lot of colours so if you are traveling away for the holiday season you wont have to carry tonnes of eyeshadow. I also never really delve into this palette so I thought it would be good to try it out and make this look.

I took Limit across the lid for a gently amount of colour and a great start for  base shadow, then I blended Nooner into the crease it is a slightly darker purple that is a great transition shade for those of us who don't want the usual bronze smokey eye. Take your time doing this part as it can take a while to build up the colour and get it to your desired pigmentation. You could stop here for a day-to-day look but if you want to accentuate the evening style then carry on... In the outer v I took Factory, Darkside and Blackheart on  a fluffy brush and blend it gradually. adding more as I go along to smoke it out, This is where you have control of how smokey to want the eyeshadow to look.
Line with your favorite liner to give the perfect flicks, then add lashes for a perfect party perfect look.

I then carried out my usual face makeup, foundation, primer, concealer, blush, contour, highlight.. You can do whatever you usually do to make yourself look party ready. then I went on to draw my eyebrows on with a pencil and just try and make them look as similar as possible. For going out I like to chose products that will stay matte all night and still look the same at the end. I used Mac soft and gently on  the higher points of my face to really add the light, this is perfect for a night out as it will ensure they you are looking glowy and glamorous

To finish off I applied a pink nude lipstick shade as its a party look after all so you don't want to be constantly topping it up and you know if you find yourself under any mistletoe you don't want to smudge it;) So I hope you liked this festive look as it is minimal but still has a tonne of glitter to fulfill your party needs

* it doesn't look blended because I had a liner disaster, I'm sorry it doesn't look great and I didn't have a decent closeup of the other eye!!

As always leave a comment down below saying what you would use to a christmas party, I would love some inspiration!

Have fun partying guys and gals!
