New year, new skincare

With the new year in the air I thought it was about time to change up my skincare routine, after a horrendous eating pattern towards the end of 2015 my skin didn't end on good terms so I have put my foot down firmly and splashed the cash to get some products that I have heard will work. Majority of these products are new to my collection and they were received as gifts for christmas, There are also many oldies that I just have to keep with me at all times! I don't want to jinx anything but I think I may have cracked the code for my skincare, So why not share it with you guys as you may find some of them helpful!

If you haven't been reading my blog for long you may not know that I have oily-combination skin and I am prone to having breakouts, I will hold my hands up and say this to you all as I am embracing my skin. Recently it has been in quite good condition and I feel confident enough with it to share the products that I have been using as I generally feel like they are working for me.

I love cleansers, they are a staple in my routine as I don't think I can go a day without using them! For me my skin doesn't feel clean enough if I don't use one. I have been using the Soap and Glory Deep cleansing milk in the morning to wake me up and to remove anything on there from the day before. I love this one in the morning as it is gentle and melts away anything in it's path. I also feel that it leaves my face feeling super soft and prepares it for wearing makeup and creates a lovely smooth base.

The second on I use is a new edition also, it is the infamous Liz Earle cleanse and polish, im sure you have all heard of it by now but if you haven't where have you been??! This has blown me away by it's power, honestly it cleans my face so well and removes any evidence of makeup! I use this with a muslin cloth to really grab hold of anything and remove it in a few wipes.

Next is the part where I wash my face just to remove any traces from the cleanser and to give my face a deep clean, I got this in a gift set of origins products for christmas and I love it already. You only need a tiny amount and it lathers up massivly, It's pretty self explanatory really its a face wash... It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean literally.

Face scrub is another of my favorites, I use it 2-3 times a week as it is on the gentle side, I just love the feeling it gives and I like the way it makes your skin feeling fresh and brand new! This one is also from Origins and from the same gift set and I have also been using this ever since I got it, I think their products are amazing, especially the face masks.

Origins again... I'm sorry but I can't express enough how much they work! This is a moisturiser that smells like oranges, Chocolate orange at that so what better then to use this on your face??? I love it, I use this in the day time to create a base for makeup, it hydrates and makes your skin look fresh and radiant. It sinks in quickly and doesn't leave a sticky film like some do.

I think that brings me to the end of the new skincare products I have been using, I felt like last year I was stuck in a rut and didn't know what I needed to help clear my skin up so I jumped ahead and replaced everything, I wanted to go for more of the 'higher end' products, I say this as they are more expensive to what I am used to. I still use my old products as I have some holy grails that I could never leave behind but as it is the new year I wanted to try something new.

What's your favorite skincare products?
