Let's Talk...

I didn't really know how to go about writing this post, but it is one that I have been meaning to do for a while. I find it hard because we all have our own ways to feel confident and sometimes it is more than just a quick fix to make ourselves feel 100%. I for one have days where I feel like I could run the world, talking all of the girl power with feeling and looking my best. But then there are days where I just don't want to get out of bed, I want to nurse a tub of ice cream and just avoid any human contact. I think this is all normal because we all have flaws and sometimes they are just more prominent. I have been trying to work out how to overcome these feelings by creating a list of things that make me feel somewhat better. I thought I'd share them with you to try and help for when you're having a down day.

1.) For me getting ready can boost my mood instantly, I'm not talking glam and glitter but even just doing my brows, taking a longer time while doing my skincare routine, straightening my hair instead of throwing it up in a bun, that sort of thing. This is usually because I feel down about the way I look so instead of putting myself down I try to remove the problem by making an effort.

2.) wear something you feel comfortable in. I for one have been trying to change up my wardrobe, I want to add more things that I wouldn't usually wear, push myself out of my comfort zone but some days this is just not what I want. For example if i'm having a 'fat' day. Im sure we have all had them, the days where we feel gross and hate the way we look and don't like anything we try on. So on these days I like to chose an outfit that I know I look nice in, one that I have worn on a really good day! This can instantly cheer me up, instead of wearing something that makes me feel even worse.

3.) Leaving the house. I say this because I have been off school for three weeks now and apart from work I didn't have any plans, but going out, even if it is just to walk the dog for half an hour you are getting some fresh air can make you feel 100% better. I hate staying in all day and feel trapped so this is a great way to change up your environment.

4.) Exercise. Even if it is just going for a walk, or general house work because boy do I find hoovering to be tiring haha! This can make you feel better because when you are feeling unconfident, Exercise helps release endorphins and I usually find that it makes a huge improvement and I feel much better after a work out.

5.) A tidy living space. You may be thinking how does this make me feel any better. But I always find that if there is a tonne of house work to be done or my rooms unorganised I feel cluttered and Like I have so much to do. I usually make this my fist job of the day to get it all done with. Even making the bed can help! This just gives me a clear area to work or to chill out.

I know these won't work for everyone but I feel like If we all come up with 5 reasons when and why we feel confident, on the days we don't we can use these as a way to over come it. It does take time to get into but I do believe that being positive is key, If we point out all of the flaws we see then it will instantly bring down the mood for ourselves. I hope you enjoyed reading the first of my 'let's talk' posts, I'm not sure when the rest will go up as Ironically I do't feel confident enough to post them just yet.

However I have done something that is really out of my comfort zone and is one of the reasons to produce this post and that is a youtube channel! I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think :)
