Makeup Matchin'

Now I have a separate makeup account on instagram @Describingoliviamakeup If anyone is interested! I have been loving trying out different makeup looks, I have been mostly sticking to the naked smokey palette as it is so versatile but I am going to do a few posts on what I used to create the look.
One of my favorites was a gradient smokey eye with a really highlighted inner corner, I created this thinking of a night out for something really glowy and dramatic. I did a winged liner of course and a nude lip so if you want to see how, carry on reading.

Eye primer - The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer potion, I find that this works best for blending urban decay eyeshadows!

I used thirteen all over the lid just to set the primer and to create an even colour tone. This also helps to really highlight the inner corners before we layer one some brighter shadows.

Then going into the crease in the outer corners I used the Naked basics 2 palette with the shade Frisk, I use this as a transition shade to start off before gradually smoking it out towards the outer corners. After this I used Cover which is a slightly warmer toned brown just to add some depth and smoke it out even more, with this shade I placed it in the outer third and blended outwards.
Back to the Naked smokey palette I took Whiskey on a Zoeva 231 Brush as it is a fluffy brush but it is small enough to control the shadow. I placed this into the outer V keeping it away from the first 2/3 of the lid. I start off with a small amount of product to shape out the right area and gradually add more to blend it out and get it to the acquired shade.

Moving onto the Inner corner I used The shade thirteen again just to add back any highlight that was lost from blending out the darker shades. Then I used Mac's Nylon as this is a really gorgeous highlighting shade which is perfect for the inner corner and for the brow bone, it is just the perfect bright shade!

The next step is taking a wipe and removing any product to create the sharp line where the liner will go, I find a wipe is the easiest as you can remove small bits at a time to get it in the right place. For the liner I used the Kat Von D Tattoo liner which has a really thin nib which makes it so easy to get a perfect cat flick with a point. Back to the Naked Smokey palette I used black market into the outer most V, I only used a small amount to really add the depth into the look and creating the desired smokey look. To finish off the look I used The better then sex Mascara from too faced, this is really good for creating bold, dramatic lashes!

The Lip product used was one of the new products from L'oreal, In the shade 001 Silencio.
