Pure Clay Purity Wash - Review

I have used the Pure Clay face masks before and I really loved the results after I had tried them out. So when I heard that L'oreal were bringing out a matching cleanser I headed straight to boots. The only thing is, when I got there the shelves were bare so this was the only option. I have only been using the for a week now so this post is more of a first impression but so far so good. I had been really struggling with itchy skin at the beginning of the month and I tried changing everything but nothing worked. As soon as I started using this within a couple of days my skin felt so much better. I think that is because it is a really soothing consistency mixed with Eucalyptus extract to help sooth the skin. It is more of a gel texture and it doesn't lather up as such which took some getting used to as I am used to using really foamy face products.

I use the wash as a second cleanse to really remove any traces of makeup or anything that is on my face from the day. It is advertised as giving clearer looking skin without shine which boy do I need! It is also non-drying which is an added bonus as its winter and the harsh weather can leave skin feeling dry and dull. Like the masks it is created of three clays with the added extra Eucalyptus as I mentioned earlier. The clays used in this product are Kaolin which is a highly effective natural clay, known to absorb excess sebum. Montmorillonite is rich in minerals, this clay is recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections which is always a good thing in my book. Finally Ghassoul is a pure clay highly concentrated in minerals that are renowned to help clarify complexion

I am impressed with this purity wash as I feel like it has done everything it has claimed to do which is always a good first impression. Another thing I like is that it isn't heavily scented, it smells fresh and clean which makes cleaning my face feel like a nice treat instead of something you have to do at the end of the day. I also love the colour as it looks really fresh and I associate the colour green with clean things so it makes me feel like it's going to work even harder!

This wash retails at £5.99 but it is currently £3.99 in Boots! You can find it HERE
