e.l.f. - St. Lucia Duo Review

Elf is finally in the stores across the Uk and I love this. Elf was actually the first ever brand of makeup that I experimented with. I started watching youtube tutorials about 4 years ago and my mum saw a deal on the website where you could get £20 worth of stuff free so she got me it as a surprise and that was the beginning of my obsession. I didn't actually realise that it was in the Superdrug shops I thought it was only online. I went in and I didn't know what to pick up first! I only ended up leaving with the Blush and Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia as I hadn't heard about anything else and I wanted to look things up first. I actually remember wanting this duo for so long when I first started out as it was compared to the Nars set at the time but for some reason I never did so to grab this now has a nostalgic feel.

The blush shade is so pretty and natural looking with a hint of shimmer, it is a very light peachy blush shade that adds a hint of colour to the apple of the cheeks.  I would say that the shades of product would work best for lighter skin tones just because of how natural they are to begin with. The bronzer shade is the one I have used the most as it is a very natural tone and it blends out seamlessly. It isn't overly warm toned but it isn't cool toned either which makes it very wearable for a subtle hint of colour. It is a matte powder which is hard to find from the high-street brands, most of them have shimmer in and I don't like the finish. I am impressed by this set and it would work great for traveling especially with the mirror that comes with it. The product is small, sleek and compact and I think it is very beautiful and would work well for beginners too if you're just starting out with makeup. Plus it is only £5 which is amazing when you are essentially getting two products!
