Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation

I finally think I have found my go to foundation, at least for now anyway! If you have been reading my blog for a while you sill know that it has been the L'Oreal Stay Matte for about 2 years now. About 4 months ago I ventured out of my comfort zone to try a new brand because to be honest I was getting a little bit bored of the same thing every day. I picked up the Matte and Poreless foundation and I haven't looked back since. The shade range ended up being perfect for me because the shade 105 - Natural Ivory which is what I have been using is not too pale or yellow for my skin tone which I find so hard to find!I also have the shade 220 for when I tan. The price for a bottle is £6.99 which is incredible, especially for how long a tube lasted me.

It has a slightly more radiant finish compared to matte foundations I have used previously which I can't say how thankful I am, just because I have oily skin doesn't mean I want to look flat! We want that glow too, just not an overly shiny one. The coverage is medium to full which I was a little unsure about at first but I would say it is more to the medium side, it layers well and can be built up to achieve the flawless base. The finish is naturally matte which I can see 100%,  It is more of a no makeup/makeup foundation. I have worn this to work in very warm conditions where I am running around all day in a hot environment and it stands well without going patchy. I do still get shiny which I know I can't avoid but if I get a little piece of tissue and tap that away it looks as good as when it's first applied. It does cover redness to an extent. I do still use concealers but if I am just nipping out I can use this with nothing else and still feel confident about my skin.

The application of this foundation is beautiful, it works well with a brush or a blender and the results for both are equally as impressive. I use a sponge if I have a little bit more time for a more natural effect. Using a brush does give it a more full coverage look but it blends out seamlessly without any streaks. For the price and the longevity of this foundation It couldn't be more perfect. The only complaint I have it the lack of pump or applicator. It is just a hole which can be quite difficult when trying to apply it onto the face.
