Rimmel London #Insta Range!

I picked up a few Items from the Rimmel #Insta range because I was running out of my usual go to products and I noticed that there was a 3 for 2 promotion. I picked up the fix and matte powder, the fix and go 2-in-1 setting spray and primer and the duo contour stick in medium! I have been testing them out for a few weeks to see how they preform and if they work together. I like the packaging, it is minimal but the bright pink writing stands out and that is one of the reasons it caught my eye. There are more products to the range but I knew I wouldn't use them as much so I chose the three I would use everyday so I could give an honest review.

I chose the Fix and Matte translucent powder which is obviously from the same brand as the stay matte powder that I have been using since I was 14! It sets makeup wonderfully and keeps my face looking matte, It feels lighter on the face compared to other powders I have used which Is great for the summer because I hate feeling like I have a lot of product built up. I don't know if I have been using it more then my other powders but I hit pan so much sooner then I usually notice but this wouldn't stop me from repurchasing. It is an awesome powder especially if you love the matte look.

The Insta Duo Contour and Highlight stick is the one product I was unsure about as i never used cream products as I found that it would take my foundation off as I applied. In all honesty I picked this up because of the hype around the KKW contour sticks as a cheaper alternative! From all of the reviews I have seen I would say that the Rimmel version has an advantage as you get more product for a much cheaper budget! I chose the medium shade as I am going on holiday soon so I thought I would get the most use from it with a tan. However, I have been using it daily and it does have a very natural tanned finish. It is warm toned which I love the look of as it warms the face up which is again perfect for the summer months. The application itself is super easy and takes minutes to draw and blend which I am all for.

The Highlight side of the stick is the one I have been the most surprised by, I have been applying this over foundation and before powder. Yes I have been powdering over the top because I have naturally oily skin so highlight can sometimes make the effect much worse. But! I have been applying a powder highlight over the top too and the two of them together just pop! I have also noticed that using a cream highlight makes a powder highlight last longer which is what I think we are all after.

The last product I picked up is the Fix and Go setting spray and primer, I have only been using this as a setting spray but I am going to experiment more with the primer aspects. It dries very quickly and locks in makeup in one application which allows for all day staying power. It doesn't feel as wet as some setting sprays which I have found very pleasant, it is more of a fine cooling mist which has a slight cucumber/spa smell which I don't hate! I have noticed that my face doesn't look as oily while I have been using this range which is a massive thumbs up from me.

After using these products for a few weeks and using them as my everyday makeup I have gained a few new go-to products. The contour stick has currently replaced any powders that I have been using as I love the more natural finish that it gives. The powder works wonderfully and I am going to try the spray as a primer to get the full benefits from it.

Have you tried any of the #Insta range?
